Home 9 Press Releases 9 Introducing CELLFIL Project Website: Transforming Textile Production with Eco-friendly Filaments

21 October 2024, Vienna, Austria – We are excited to announce the launch of the official website of CELLFIL project at www.cellfil.eu, an EU-funded initiative that aims to transform textile production by advancing the use of sustainable, bio-based cellulosic filaments. This new platform will serve as a central hub for the latest project updates, research developments, and collaboration opportunities for stakeholders across the textile industry.

About CELLFIL

CELLFIL is a Horizon Europe-funded project focused on reshaping the European textile value chain with innovative, eco-friendly Lyocell filaments. These filaments are derived from biodegradable, circular raw materials, such as wood, orange peel, textile waste, and other second-generation (2G) feedstocks.

By replacing synthetic fibers, CELLFIL contributes to addressing both the environmental and social challenges of the textile industry.
